Because the majority of my friends on Facebook don’t appreciate literature as much as I do, I decided to share a recent discovery of mine on my blog instead. I’ve realized that Into The Ocean by the group Blue October is the perfect “theme” song for The Awakening by Kate Chopin. It fits Edna’s transformation, and ultimately her final act, perfectly (excluding the very beginning on the song when the lead singer says, “I’m just a normal boy.”) Ignoring that, it’s the perfect song. Don’t believe me? Listen here!

As it seems quite applicable right now..
“One day you’ll love me, the way I loved you. One day you’ll think of me the way I thought of you. One day you’ll cry for me, the way I cried for you. One day you’ll want me, but I won’t want you.”

After intensive, month long debating and researching, I have come to a final decision as to what my first tattoo will be. Now I have to figure out where to put it. *Sigh*

I just found out that a young lady I know had a miscarriage three months ago while her boyfriend was away training for the military. She was five months along. They knew the baby was a girl. They had named her. The baby girl could hear her mom’s voice from inside the womb. And then she was gone. This really got to me. I mean, it physically hurts. They are stronger than I am to be taking it so well. I’d have stopped breathing.
